RBS Finsure appoints new relationship consultant and operations support manager

Premium finance provider RBS Finsure has made two new staff appointments as part of its ongoing commitment to delivering excellent customer and broker service. Colin Chappell has been promoted to the role of relationship consultant and Sarah Mercer will become operational support manager

Colin will be responsible for managing RBS Finsure’s accounts in the North of England and the West Midlands. Working with the regional sales managers in these areas, he will provide support and assistance to brokers dealing with personal or commercial business, and promote the roll-out of new products and systems improvements.

Prior to joining the relationship management team, Colin worked as a team leader for RBS Finsure Operations, specialising in commercial loans. Before this, Colin spent 14 years working for AMP Pearl in the life and pensions sectors. Colin brings 19 years’ experience of the insurance industry to the role and will report to Moira O’Connell, Relationship Manager.

Sarah will be responsible for ensuring that RBS Finsure delivers excellent levels of customer service and that its business plan is within budget.

Prior to joining RBS Finsure Sarah was a Customer Service Group Manager at Thomas Cook and held several senior customer service roles. She brings 10 years of experience in the customer service and insurance industry to the role and will report to Clare Davis, Operations Manager.

Commenting on the new appointments, Trevor Brittain, Head of RBS Finsure, said: “We’re proud of the high standard of service we provide our brokers but know that we must keep improving. The appointments of Colin and Sarah will allow us to really understand what our brokers want from us and ensure our service meets their needs.”
